12-Month Repair Warranty
At The Phone Surgery – Hertford, we stand behind our work. That’s why we offer a 12-month warranty on most phone repairs. This warranty covers the specific part we replaced, such as a screen or battery, in the event of a fault due to a manufacturing defect. To activate your 12 months repair warranty simply book your smartphone or tablet in for repair.
What Our Warranty Covers
- Defective or faulty replacement parts used during your repair
- Hardware failures in refurbished devices within 90 days of purchase
If the issue qualifies under our warranty, we will repair or replace the faulty part at no extra cost.
What Is Not Covered
- Water or liquid damage (including water-resistant models)
- Accidental damage such as drops, cracks, or physical impact
- Triggered liquid indicators
- Cosmetic wear or normal battery decline
- Software issues, third-party apps, or OS updates, including Apple warning messages.
- Devices tampered with or repaired by other parties
- Devices previously or subsequently exposed to water
Refurbished Device Warranty
All refurbished phones purchased from The Phone Surgery come with a 90-day hardware warranty. This does not cover:
- Cosmetic wear
- Battery wear due to normal use
- Any post-purchase damage
How to Make a Warranty Claim
To start a claim:
- Provide your original receipt or repair reference
- Visit the Hertford location where the original service or purchase was completed
Additional Information
- Non-transferable: The warranty applies only to the original customer and device (as identified by IMEI or serial number)
- If a warranty repair fails to resolve the issue, a refund may be offered within 7–10 business days
- A diagnostic charge may apply if no fault is found or a revised quote is declined
- Please back up your data before submitting your device—we are not responsible for data loss

Third-party repairs, including ours, may void your manufacturer’s warranty. Please check with your manufacturer before proceeding.
